Department of medicine is present from the beginning of the Hospital in August 1990. Department was started under the eminent leadership of Dr.P.V Joseph. who left the Hospital in the year 1999.

From the year 1991 department is working as Three units. Presently unit I is headed by Dr.S.V Krishnankutty MBBS, MD (Internal medicine) BAM. and unit II by Dr. Pradeep MBBS, MD (Internal Medicine). and unit III by Dr.Seethal Binu MD.
 

 The head of department Unit - I  is Dr.Krishnankutty MD.

Dr.Krishnankutty took his graduation in Ayurveda from Kottakkal Ayurveda College in the year 1979 with university first rank and degree and post graduation in modern systems of medicine from prestigious institute of Calicut medical college of  Calicut University.

 The head of department Unit - II  is Dr.Pradeep MD.

To begin with department started with basic facilities but over time all medical super specialties were started. Presently cardiology, Nephrology, pulmonary medicine, Dermatology, Gastroenterology and Neurology Departments are working with reasonable facilities.

With great Co-operation and Co-ordination of various medical and surgical departments, medical problems of any variety is being managed under the department of medicine.

Diabetes Mellitus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hypertension etc. are diseases which are given special care.
