than 20,000 laparoscopic procedures.
> Largest no.of endoscopic hernia repair(>2,500) , stappled haemorrhoidectomy(>500)and laparoscopic appendicectomy(>7,000) done in the country.
> Presented the paper on the first series of paediatric laparoscopicprocedures(156) in the country at Chennai in the 7th Annual
Conference of IAGESin 1999.
> Having the one of the largest series of abdominal trauma in the state.
Presented the paper on the only and first series of laparoscopicsplenorrhaphy (14 pts.) in annual confererence of ASI
at Trivandrum in 2002 and bagged the Best Paper Award.
> Presented the first paper on laparoscopic closure of duodenal ulcerperforation in the 2nd annual conference of IAGES at Mumbai in 1995
and holding the largest no. of lap.du closure in the country. The poster
on the same subject got the best poster award in the annual conference
of ASI in 2003 at Kottayam.
> Trained > 60 Surgeons from inside and outside the country.
> Developed own techniques in various minimal invasive surgical procedures.
